INITIATIVE
for Arab-German culture exchange
We are new comer Syrians in Germany who are ready to avail their talents and knowledge for the benefit of German orientalists, academics and media specialists who are interested in the Arab culture. We are capable to provide the services of editing, reviewing and proofreading for all essays and literary works written in Arabic, and do all the coordination, categorisation, investigation and research for the same by giving 6 hours a week for this work . We are also ready and capable to participate in all German cultural activities tackling any of the cultural aspects. This all comes within our aspiration to achieve creative human interaction and to show gratitude to the society who stood by us.

Bassam Loulou
Editor
Bassam Loulou, born in Aleppo, Syria in 1957
Education: Bachelor of Arts, Aleppo University 1985, Arabic Language
Work Experience:
•Worked as freelancer with some writers, publishers, researchers and higher education scholars.
•Worked as a journalist in Dubai-UAE for 12 years in the most of the editorial sections.
•After resignation from Dubai work, he assumed some projects such as documentary films and a children magazine. However, due to the circumstances in Syria, these projects seized to exist.
•Launched an electronic magazine called ‘Alokkaza’ which has been hacked many times. After the eruption of the Syrian crisis, the Alokkaze team dispersed around the world.
•Established an art exhibition under the name of "signatures God" at the museum Tucher schloss in Nurnberg 2015
•Transferd this exhibition to Kater Murr cafe within the event under the name of "From Erich to From” in 2016.
•He has some of Arabic cultural partnerships and a group of poetry and stories, and he looks forward to be free for writing.
Yanal Abaza
Composer
•Yanal Abaza is a violinist from Syria born in 1963.
• He studied Music and specialised in Violin in the Arab institute of music since 1976.
•Worked in music band as a first instrumentalist
•Graduated as an expert in playing and East Maqam.
•He Participated with top singer stars in the arab world.
Oula Soleman
Fine Artist
•Oula Soleman is a Syrian fine artist born in 1988.
•Graduated from The University of The Fine Arts / Department of Sculpture in 2013
• Lectured at the University of The Fine Arts / Department of Sculpture in Aleppo and at the Center of The Fine Arts in Latakia.
•Participated in some exhibitions and artistic workshops in Syria.
•Worked with the UNICEF to support the distressed children.
•Designed some characters for a production company.
Manhal Kheshfa
Public Relations
Manhal Kheshfa, born in Homs, Syria in 1990
Education: University of Al-Baath-Homs , Faculty of Arts (English literature)
Bachelor's degree in literature, English Department in 2012.
Work Experience:
•2015-2016 Worked by AWO as childcare assistant and translator.
•2012-2014 Volunteered in Voluntary Work Committee which related to "Charity & Social Service Society”.
•Involved in a vocational education and life skills project named "Gheeras" which sponsored by UNICEF & Charity & Social Service Society
•Helped my father in translating ten stories for younger from English language.

S.Martha betet für Syrien und den Frieden
S.Martha Kirche in Nürnberg hat gebetet am Sonntag, dem 11. December 2016 für Syrien. und INITIATIVE2016 hat diese Wörter gesagt: Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, damals sagte ein Künstler aus Aleppo," wer Syrien nicht lieb, geht nicht in den Himmel ein.", diese Wörter wundert ihre Zuhörer. Was hat er in den Tiefen des syrischen Lebens gefunden, um das zu sagen. Die Schwere und die Länge der Widrigkeit zeigt uns die Bedeutung dieses Landes. Diese Widrigkeit ist nicht nur lokal, sondern auch humanitär. Vor 3000 Jahren hat Herodot gesagt, der der Vater der humanitären Geschichtsschreibung ist, Danke an Syrien, weil Syrien unsere Namen und Ferien gegeben hat. Außerdem hat die UNESCO viele Orte in Syrien als Weltkulturerbe erachtet, und aus dem alten Syrien kommt die Legende des Phönixvogels, der am Ende seines Lebenszyklus verbrennt oder stirbt, um aus dem verwesenden Leib oder aus seiner Asche wieder neu zu erstehen. So hier lässt sich die Frage stellen, wird Syrien auch aus seiner Asche wieder zu erstehen?Ich bedanke mich bei den S.Martha und S.Klara, die für das heute beten.
